Xlinks Morocco-UK Power is a 10-gigawatt green energy project that is expected to supply the UK with renewable energy from Morocco via four 3,800-meter undersea cables. The project is set to be the biggest in the world.
Entitled “Powering Up Britain – Energy Security Plan”, the document highlights the UK government's desire “to explore the potential of international projects to provide "clean and affordable energy".
In that regard, the document referred to the Xlinks project “a proposed large-scale wind, solar and battery electricity generation site in Morocco”.
The document "outlines the government's blueprint for the future of energy in the UK, outlining how they will diversify energy production by investing in renewables to provide energy, consumer, climate and economic security for the country."
