The General Tax Administration (AGT) of Angola raised 24.3 million euros in the financial year of 2022, corresponding to a growth of 40% compared to 2021.

Oil revenues, in this period, contributed with 16 billion euros, having grown by 51% compared to 2021, while non-oil revenues amounted to 8 billion euros (22% growth compared to the previous year).
According to the executive director of the AGT, Tiago Santos, the Industrial Tax, the Value Added Tax (VAT), both with 27%, and the Labor Income Tax (IRT), with 19%, were the ones that more raised in 2022.
In turn, he also mentioned that the sectors of commerce (23.6%) and the extractive and manufacturing industry, with 12.8% and 11.1%, respectively, were the ones that contributed the most to non-oil revenues in 2022.
In relation to the first quarter of 2023, non-oil revenues totaled 1.7 billion euros, a growth of 13% compared to the same period of the previous year.
