The MoU was signed by the general director of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone, Blanca Sorigué, and by the chairman of the ZEE Board of Directors, Manuel Francisco Pedro, in an act witnessed by the Angolan ambassador to Spain, Alfredo Dombe.

A ZEE press release sent to XIETU AFRICA mentions that the Memorandum was one of the highlights of Angola's participation in "SIL Barcelona", the main Spanish-speaking fair in the world on Logistics and Transport, and that it has become a reference for all the countries of southern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Organized by the “Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB)”, SIL Barcelona gathered between the 7th and 9th of June more than 12,000 participants from 650 companies, 40% of them international, and included more than 250 events such as lectures, debates and meetings multi and bilateral.

The Angolan delegation, led by the PCA of the Luanda-Bengo ZEE, was also integrated by the executive administrator of Barra do Dande, Adilson Catala, and by the administrator of the Regulatory Agency for Certification and Logistics of Angola, Maria de Lourdes Bravo, having established contacts with more than 150 new technological solutions, innovations and specialized services in the field of logistics, transport, intra-logistics and distribution.

The Angolan delegation also participated in one of the debate panels "Opportunities to Invest in Angola in the Logistics Platform", where a set of opportunities that Angola has in terms of logistics platforms were shared, as well as the macro-economic environment suitable for investment and the respective framework legal, more attractive and protective of foreign investment, public or private.
