At the beginning of his visit to Namibia and later to Kenya, Biden says that “we are committed to ensuring that countries in Africa not only have a voice in organizations such as the United Nations Security Council or the G20, but also that these voices are valued as those of partners at the same level”.
At a luncheon with the President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, and his wife, Monica Geingob, Jill Biden stresses that “our world is becoming smaller, and therefore our connections matter more and more”, adding that no one “can cure ” alone “the wounds of the world”.
