The Brazilian edition of "sputnik" magazine quotes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa, Naledi Pandor, as saying that the dominance of the Dollar in international accounts is disadvantageous for poor countries and that the countries that make up the BRICS seek to create a means of payments more viable.
"We have always been concerned with the dominance of the Dollar and, therefore, we have to look for an alternative, which is one of the reasons why we created the BRICS Development Bank", he said.
According to the head of South African diplomacy, the Development Bank and other economic approaches can help the BRICS countries to create a more viable payment system.
