Cape Verde wants to eliminate extreme poverty by 2026

The Cape Verdean Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, reaffirmed the commitment to eliminate extreme poverty in the country by 2026, pointing out that it is a "national plan" that requires a "great effort from all".

In the city of Praia, during the public presentation of the National Strategy for the Eradication of Extreme Poverty (ENEPE) 2022-2026, Ulisses Correia considered that "the elimination of extreme poverty is, in fact, a national goal, and the national goal involves commitment and participation, the participation in the first place of people, families, non-governmental organizations, city councils, the Government, associations, churches and development partners".
