The Port of Barcelona, one of the largest in the Mediterranean Sea and in Europe, has expressed its intention to cooperate with the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) Luanda-Bengo, in sustainable logistical solutions for Angola.

In a meeting with the President of the Board of Directors of the ZEE, Manuel Francisco Pedro, who is visiting that country, the Deputy Director General for Innovation and Business Strategy at the Port of Barcelona, Santiago Garcia-Milà, assured that the partnership between the two parties "will add value and competitiveness to the Angolan economy".
“We are very happy to receive this delegation from Angola. We are willing to collaborate in the progress of the two Zones and seek synergies between the Ports of Barcelona and the Economic Zone of Angola, to provide logistical solutions that add value and competitiveness to the Angolan economy”, said Santiago Garcia-Milà.
Impressed with the logistics chain at the Port of Barcelona, Manuel Francisco Pedro said that the project was based on the strategy and pillars of the Luanda-Bengo ZEE.
“Within our Strategic Plan we have a pillar dedicated to the optimization of services. What we want is to create new services for our tenants and above all logistics services, which is why we came to Barcelona," he said.
