ACP Parliamentary Delegation in Angola

A delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (AP-OEACP), headed by its President, the Mozambican Rita Geremias Sithole, met with the Angolan head of state, João Lourenço, to discuss issues within the scope of the attributions of that intercontinental organization.

Mozambique is the current President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (AP-OEACP) and Co-President of the Joint Parliamentary Assembly Africa, Caribbean, Pacific and European Union (ACP-EU), for a term of two years, starting in January 2023.

Mozambique's presidency and co-presidency of those international organizations comes at a time when the new Cotonou Agreement, which is the link between the ACPs and the European Union, is being discussed with the European Union's partners.
